Well, it wasn't the Sagamore or the Ponte Vedra Lodge and Club. Our Mystery Destination in 2005 was to the Mohegan Sun in
Uncasville, Connecticut. We pretty much fooled everyone...but a great time was had by all! We had Sunday brunch at the Inn
at Mystic, toured the first nuclear powered submarine Nautilus, and visited the Coast Guard Academy. The next day we visited
Old Lyme and enjoyed the Florence Griswold Home and Musuem....gathering place for the American Impressionist painters. A
tour of Eugene O'Neill's summer home "Monte Cristo", and a day with Mark Twain in Hartford introduced us to the
literary connections of the area. We had a wonderful dinner at Todd English's restaurant "Tuscany" located inside
the Mohegan Sun...and enjoyed the varied nightlife offered at this four star resort and casino! What was the different culture
we were going to learn about? Well, the Mohegan Indians, of course! Thanks to all for having the courage to sign up for a
trip to who knows where?
